Ruben Amorim has made it clear that Marcus Rashford has no future under him at Manchester United with Alejandro Garnacho’s future still up in the air entering the final week of the window.
The transfer window has entered its final week and the emphasis at Manchester United remains firmly on departures rather than incomings with the futures of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho top of the priority list.
Ruben Amorim made his feelings clear with regards to both after the fortunate win at Fulham on Sunday night – the former has no place in the head coach’s plans, the latter does but he could still depart.
And with United’s woes in attack continuing despite the victory at Craven Cottage – Lisandro Martinez’s heavily deflected goal was their only attempt on target – the unlikely matchwinner has pinpointed what must improve.
Amorim makes feelings clear
Ruben Amorim says managing Manchester United has already aged him 10 years – and then took a huge swipe at Marcus Rashford.
United boss Amorim celebrates his 40th birthday on Monday and will do so after what he called a “lucky” win at Fulham thanks to Lisandro Martinez’s late winner.
But Amorim also said he would rather put his veteran 63-year-old goalkeeper coach Jorge Vital on the bench ahead of Rashford – because he only wants players who give everything in training.
